Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration (HVAC/R)

Bird Mechanical is a full service mechanical and HVAC/R company. Our work is mainly focused in retrofitting and replacing existing systems within facilities that have equipment that is either out of date or is not meeting current client standards. Our HVAC/R department is complimented by our comprehensive line of plumbing and drain services and equipment. Our state-of-the-art Computer Management System (CMS) allows us to schedule tasks, track service calls and follow up on projects and with clients. Our HVAC/R teams provide services which include:

• HVAC/R systems inspections, diagnoses and repairs
• Routine preventive maintenance
• Repair or replace HVAC/R systems and components

Fabrication

Bird Mechanical’s fabrication shop is set up to produce high quality material fast and efficiently. The layout and space in our shop allows us to accurately prefabricate items for both ourselves and clients. This key element of our business allows everyone to save time and allows us to offer turnkey solutions.

The 40,000 square foot facility consists of multiple cranes from 5 Tons to 20 Tons, pipe positioners, automated saws, top of the line welding machines and an automated oxy-acetylene/plasma pipe cutting machine are just a few of the features we have on site.

Our Fabrication Shop is also registered with TSSA for the production and fabrication of:

• Repair and alterations of boilers, pressure vessels, piping and category A, B, C, D, E, F & H type fittings
• Fabrication and assembly of power piping
• Fabrication and assembly of process piping
• Manufacturing of pressure vessels in accordance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division 1 and CSA Standard B51
• Fabrication of welded and non-welded Category H type fittings
• All in accordance with CSA standards

Civil Construction

The Civil department at Bird Mechanical offers a wide range of support with the design, maintenance and development of infrastructure projects. The department is an operational branch that manages both independent and subcontractor projects. Our team specializes in innovative designs and structural requirements encompassing building envelop work, as well as interior and exterior modifications.

Tin Knockers is a Canadian Welding Bureau Certificated Company specializing in custom metal fabrication and installations. The company provides clients with a full range of metal services to support project and infrastructure needs. The Team at Tin Knockers is comprised of skilled trades, installers, engineering and design support that offers turn-key solutions to manage complex projects at fair and affordable pricing. The fabrication team operates state-of-the-art machinery that has the capabilities to work with a variety of metals including structural steel, architectural metals, stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminium and miscellaneous custom metal work including HVAC duct work . Tin Knockers has licensed sheet metal workers that specialize in HVAC supply and installation of large- and small-scale duct installation projects that perfectly compliments the metal and fabrication division. The fabrication shop has the ability and the equipment to fabricate any type of metal through means of cutting, bending and assembling using raw materials. Our services include:
